Exam Invigilators Required

We are looking to recruit Exam Invigilators on a part time basis to participate in conducting the smooth running of examinations for our students.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good attention to detail, be flexible and an excellent time keeper; the ability to handle situations in a calm and logical manner working as part of a team and also independently supporting the Exams Manager.  Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Applicants should be available during May and June on an ad hoc basis. Hourly rate on a casual basis is £8.50 per hour.

Tasks include preparing exam rooms, distributing papers and stationery, advising candidates of exam conditions, observing students during the exam ensuring that all regulatory requirements are adhered to. After the exam, you are responsible for collecting exam materials and leaving exam rooms tidy.

All successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

This collaborative educational Trust serves a vibrant rural community and is committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for pupils and students in our schools: Dobwalls, Landulph and Trewidland Primary and Liskeard, Looe and Secondary.  Collectively they have a total of approximately 3,000 students, 450 staff and a budget of £ 17m.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Director who has an interest in Learning, including curriculum and assessment.  Some experience and expertise is obviously an advantage, but enthusiasm for learning about how children learn and how we develop them through our curriculum is more important.

Directors are jointly responsible for the general control and management of the administration of the Trust.  In addition they must carry out the three core governance functions:

  • Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • Hold the Executive Team to account for the educational performance of the Trust’s schools
  • Oversee the financial performance of the Trust and make sure its money is well spent
