This year our A level students have achieved outstanding results with three quarters of the results within the A* to C grade boundaries and an overall 99.9% pass rate. Our vocational courses have had a 100% success rate with several candidates obtaining distinction.

Director of Sixth Form, Gill Prichard said ‘It’s been a busy year for everyone in all sorts of aspects. Our Sixth Form Football Team were County Champions this year winning all of their matches. Luke Moynan stood for the Youth Parliament and was elected. Then our debating team won the regional finals, went to Liverpool Hope University to represent the County in the national finals and two students were selected to represent the UK in the European debates. Now the team work and excellent working relationships between staff and students have culminated in a set of excellent results. It has been really rewarding to see our students do so well academically whilst also enjoying the challenges of other opportunities. I feel confident that they will be a great success with their individual plans for the future.’

Head teacher Mr Alex Lingard said ‘I’d like to congratulate all the students and thank all the staff at school for their hard work and support. These results go to show what a thriving sixth form we have in Liskeard. The number of students gaining As or A*s this year is outstanding! All our students now have places at university, gained employment or will be taking up apprenticeships and we wish them all the very best in the exciting times that lie ahead of them.’
