Cultivate Cornwall CIC, is locally based, non-profit social enterprise set up by young people in Cornwall. We are running a fundraising campaign over the summer to help increase the mobility of young disadvantaged people in Cornwall.

We are asking for as much support from the local community as possible in order to increase the impact of the campaign and benefit as many young and disadvantaged people in our community as possible. By increasing mobility you will be helping; raise aspirations, increase intercultural leaning and add value to the lives of young disadvantaged people in Cornwall, many of whom have still never even visited a beach!

Liskeard School and Community College students continued their superb performances and successes in rowing at the South West Regional Rowing Finals at Marjons. Liskeard finished third overall which is a superb achievement and adds to the title of County Champions achieved in the 2016/17 rowing season. The boys team finished in 2nd overall place in the combined boys events.

Year 7 students from Liskeard School and Community College organised a collection in aid of the homeless in the South West. Students did a superb job filling three large bags of soap and personal hygiene items, as well as large bags of food, hat’s, scarves, gloves and four bin bags of quilts, sleeping bags, blankets and coats.

Liskeard School and Community College student Ellie Reed has had a tremendous few months and achieved several of her personal goals in badminton - the highlight being the quarter finals of the Under 19 Nationals at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes with her partner Jess Hodge from Devon. Ellie had a fantastic experience and rose to the occasion; reaching the quarter final at this level was a remarkable achievement. Ellie managed to record the matches in preparation for her A-level PE.

Liskeard School and Community College were thrilled to welcome guests to the launch of their Greenpower Go Kart Challenge.  The Mayor and representatives from the Town Forum, Town Council, Restormel CNC Engineering and Kawasaki PM in Plymouth celebrated the completion of nine months of fund raising with staff and students at the school.
