32 Year 9 students from Liskeard School and Community College have taken part in an immersive First World War experience, following in the footsteps of Cornish men who fought in the war. The Trench Bodmin, which runs until the 15th July, sees audiences enlist at The Keep, before travelling by steam train to Lanhydrock Estate, where the trench experience is simulated.

This year’s 15th annual exhibition concludes another exciting year for students studying Art, Design and Photography at Liskeard School & Community College. One hundred and four students exhibited work of the highest standard; demonstrating great aesthetic sensitivity, visual intelligence, energy and excitement within the work. 

 Congratulations to Liskeard School & Community College Year 7 students Minnie Bauer and Melissa Zalick, who were named as winners in the SUEZ recycling and recovery bird/insect box competition.

Minnie and Melissa’s insect box was created as part of Liskeard School’s Technology House competition, where students were tasked with designing boxes from reused or recycled materials, with the motto that ‘less is more’ adopted.

The Team Liskeard echo Go Kart premiered at its first race in the Greenpower Challenge on Thursday 21st June, at Predannack Airfield.  The team were thrilled to come fifth out of 30 teams in their first ever race, placing them 101st nationally.

After only a few lunchtime and after-school rehearsals, a dedicated team of three Year 10 students and twenty-one Y7 students from Liskeard School & Community College represented the school in a drama production of Macbeth at Falmouth University.
