Recently Liskeard School and Community College hosted Be Strong Online Training, provided by the Diana Award. In total fifty-eight students from Liskeard, Callington, Poole and Looe Community College honed their understanding of e-safety issues and practised their skills of presenting to a large audience.

The education tentacles of Argyle Community Trust have now stretched to Liskeard School and Community College, where the Trust Football Development Manager Jason Chapman has taken responsibility for the College Under-18 team.

As a Trust, we’ve been looking to establish greater educational links in East Cornwall for some time and we are delighted to now be working with Liskeard School and Community College.

The College has joined the Argyle Education League, competing against teams from Redruth, Okehampton, Kevicc in Totnes, Sir John Hunt, Wadebridge and City College Plymouth.

The TicTac Centre, at Liskeard School & Community College, received a financial boost recently due to the amazing efforts of a local fundraiser.

Mark Kelly completed the Cotswold Triathlon in a time of 1 hour and 7 minutes and raised a grand total of £1,858 for TicTac, an information and advice centre for young people, which provides health and emotional support for students at Liskeard School.

Liskeard School and Community College has been thrilled to welcome Jim Underwood, Director of Restormel CNC Engineering, to visit their Engineering Department.  The school, a specialist engineering college, is excited to be working with Restormel CNC.  Rob Meier, Head of Engineering, said: “It’s really exciting to be linking with a cutting edge company who are making specialist machined components here in south-east Cornwall.  Our students will gain access to industry standard equipment and the opportunity to link their learning to the real world of the manufacturing industry through this partnership.”

2016 Parliamentary Review

Liskeard School & Community College has been selected to appear in the 2015/16 edition of The Parliamentary Review. Established by former minister The Rt Hon David Curry shortly after the 2010 general election, The Parliamentary Review’s September release has become a key fixture in the political calendar.
