The Year 10 GCSE Business group has been working with Plymouth University and the entrepreneur and founder of The Enterpriser software, Donna Shirley, over the past four weeks. The group had to work on a business start-up idea for a local café and cover a range of topics from choosing the right location and décor, through to choosing marketing and costing the start up.

The students displayed a high standard of skills including team working and project management.  When they had completed their Business Plan they presented their ideas to the rest of the class and to a team from the University “Dragon’s Den” style.  The feedback on the quality of their work was praised very highly with the winning group of Sam Stone, Rowan Carlin, Josh Penhaligan and Collin Hinds each received £10 of Amazon gift vouchers as prizes.

There were also lots of other prizes for the runners up.  A fantastic start on their GCSE Business course for this group, well done!
