The following information is to give advice and information on the recently banned Facebook drinking game 'NekNominate.'
The game, believed to have originated in Australia, involves posting a video of someone drinking alcohol in an extreme manner and then nominating others to do the same within 24 hours. They use the #neknominate hashtag and tag their friend in the video.
You will recall previously that we were reviewing our approach to the provision of the late buses and our need to ensure that the £15,000 we were paying for them represented the best use of school funds. We reduced the bus routes to the most popular ones and reduced the cost to £6,000. We then sold tickets at £1 a journey to recover some of the cost.
Cornwall Council is consulting on proposed changes to the Home to School Transport Policy from September 2014.
The consultation, which closes on Friday 28 February 2014, involves:
- Eligibility for transport free of charge
- Transport for which the parent/carer makes a financial contribution
- Provision for children with special educational needs and other individual needs, including medical and health needs
