Dear Parents/Carers

As part of the Public Health development plan, Cornwall Council have produced two surveys for both parental and young people.

You can complete the survey online here:  This link takes you to a page where you can  complete the survey as either a parent/carer or as a young person.  As parental consent is needed for young people to complete the survey, we ask that if you feel it would be beneficial for your child to complete the survey, please direct them to do so.

Liskeard School and Community College have successfully gained re-accreditation of the prestigious Investor in Careers Award. This really is one of the highest accolades that an organisation can receive for excellence in this area of work and is definitely something the school is very proud of achieving.

Dear Parent/Carer,

Your child will need a European Health Insurance card to go on the trip, these can be obtained via the internet. These are free and you do not have to pay for them, please be aware of websites that try to charge.

We will be holding a meeting at school on Wednesday 10 June at 6.30pm in the Sixth Form Common Room. We hope that you and your child will be able to attend. Please would you bring the European Health Insurance card with you if your child has not handed it in to the Languages Office prior to the meeting.

Mock Election Day and Fundraising for Nepal

Thursday May 7th

Next Thursday students will be voting for their choice of local candidates in our very own mock election. We will also be having a non-uniform day and a whole school cake sale in aid of the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.

You may have seen press reports that Truro College are proposing to build a new campus in Bodmin. Following concerns raised by Headteachers, Governors, Councillors and MPs about the impact this may have on school sixth forms and local choice for young people we are pleased that the council has decided to postpone any decision on selling the land until a proper independent study of the impacts has been done and affected communities have been consulted. As you know our sixth form has a great track record of securing first choice university places for students and has been ranked in the top 25% of schools & colleges nationally for pupil performance. Following the council's decision we have every confidence in the future of our much loved sixth form.
