Year 10 students at Liskeard School & Community College are once again taking part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme, a yearlong project, where students create, start up and run their own business. Help and support is provided by Young Enterprise and at the end of the programme students get to keep any profit they make!

Last month, this year’s group travelled to Penair School in Truro where they were introduced to the programme and received a talk from Pirate FM Managing Director Mark Peters. Students were given the task of designing a new shoe and pitching their idea to the Young Enterprise judges and other schools. Liskeard came up with the very unique idea of a multi-sport shoe, with interchangeable soles for different sports and pitched very confidently!

The students will now begin to develop and launch their product idea, so watch this space! Good luck to them for the duration of the year!
