Liskeard School and Community College recently held its annual Challenge Week for students in year 7, 8, and 9. There were an array of activities aimed at challenging students both physically and mentally in locations inside the school, in the community and further afield.

Activities included adrenaline sports, Brazilian Jujitsu, chef school, science challenges, woodwork, golf, humanities challenges, media, mountain biking, riding schools, scuba diving, skiing, summer sports, surf school and even a trip to France!

Students had an amazing time learning new skills; challenging themselves mentally and physically. They also demonstrated great support for each other, working together and encouraging each other throughout all of the activities to enforce the ‘Team Liskeard’ ethos the school is so proud of.

Head Teacher Alex Lingard said “It was wonderful to see so many students taking on new challenges and trying new things. For some, the week provided opportunities that they would otherwise never experience. May I congratulate students on their resilience and thank the staff for all their hard work to provide such a great week.”
