Year 7 students from Liskeard School and Community College organised a collection in aid of the homeless in the South West. Students did a superb job filling three large bags of soap and personal hygiene items, as well as large bags of food, hat’s, scarves, gloves and four bin bags of quilts, sleeping bags, blankets and coats.

The organisers of the Homeless Appeal were extremely happy to receive the items. They were distributed to homeless centres, mother and baby units, missions and hostels. Some items were auctioned off to provide Christmas meals, as the response had been remarkable.

Assistant Head of Year 7 Jo Kelly said, “The response for the Homeless Appeal was overwhelming and every item is much appreciated and will be distributed to homeless people in the South West. Well done year 7.”
