9 students from Liskeard School & Community College from Year 8, 9 and 10 attended a Holocaust Memorial Day event at Truro Cathedral. The day included an exhibition allowing attendees to explore the path of the genocide, learn the personal experiences of survivors, understand how genocide is still happening today and what can be done about it.  Students also wrote a message to hang on the Tree of Hope.

The event also featured work from Liskeard School students who won the overall school prize for the art and photography category. Students, one of which attended the event, had entered a 'Life goes on' competition run by the police about hate crime. PC Geoff Turner-Moore had previously come into the school to present the certificates and awards to the winners. Liskeard School were presented with a roof slate to sign before it goes onto the new roof alongside others including the Duchess of Cambridge!
