Liskeard School and Community College recently held their prestigious annual Awards Evening, recognising the excellent achievements of students from all year groups throughout the academic year.

The formal evening held in the New Hall was organised by Assistant Head Teacher Dawn Penberthy and Publicity Apprentice Kelly Yeoman and provided the perfect setting to recognise those students that had excelled over the past year.

Sixty-five students were recognised this year, winning awards for individual faculty achievements and Heads of Year awards. Qualities such as resilience and co-operative values were also rewarded.

The winner of the highly regarded Head Teacher’s award was Mungo Harrison-Ward, for his continuous hard work and outstanding achievement.

Proud parents filled the New Hall, along with governors and the Mayor of Liskeard to honour the hard working students.

Congratulations to all the students that were nominated and we look forward to celebrating more hard work and achievements in the year ahead.

Assistant Head Teacher Dawn Penberthy said “The evening was fantastic and enjoyed by all. It was a great opportunity to recognise the outstanding achievements and hard work of our students.”
