As part of the on-going careers programme at Liskeard School, Year 10 visited the annual Careers Show at the Wadebridge showground. This year it was sponsored by Worldskills UK and The Careers and Enterprise Company.

There were well over a hundred exhibitors that attended from all over the country, ranging from colleges to culinary schools, farmers to police, Mencap to the National Space Academy. Many had interactive or 'have a go' exhibitions as part of their display, and Liskeard School students were the first to get stuck in to these challenges and competitions (we have never seen so many iced biscuits, mock-cocktails or bird boxes!).

Mrs Carlin, Careers Co-ordinator at Liskeard School, said it was really pleasing to hear that the exhibitors thought our students were not only very respectful but also full of probing and intelligent questioning. Hopefully, they came away inspired and gained something from this amazing experience to help them along their own career journey.
