There was an overwhelming turnout for the Liskeard School and Community College Year 11 ball as students bid a fond farewell and remember their time at Liskeard School.  Proud families and members of the local community lined the school grounds and looked on with pride and delight, as the students arrived in an array of imaginative transport including a boat, golf buggy, steam engine and horse and carriage. There was even an instrumental procession of from some of our talented Year 11 music students who arrived on the back of a trailer entertaining the crowds.

Ms Brown, Head of Year 11, said “It had taken lot of hard work and time to transform the New Hall into a grand ballroom worthy of our wonderful Year 11s.  Mrs Cozens, the assistant Head of Year 11, and I are very proud of how glamorous they all looked and how much they all enjoyed the evening.”

The students took to the red carpet in their finest attire with a wonderful array of dresses and suits but it was Samuel Herrington and Louise Hale who were awarded belle and beau of the ball.

The school would like to wish all the Year 11’s all the best for the future and look forward to welcoming back students to Liskeard Sixth Form next term.
