Some of the students have entered an international competition "curious about Copper"  run by  the Copper development association. The students had to look at how copper is used in everyday life and its impact on society. The students decided to look at the health and medical uses of copper, how it is used in our diet, its germ killing ability and how it is used in hospitals.

Ada Domachowska and Finley Young in year 7 took on the challenge of producing informative and detailed posters which have now been entered. the first prize is £500 for the school with £100 going to the winning student so watch this space to see how they got on!

Next year, science club students will be growing seeds that have been in space!
