Liskeard School and Community College had great fun at this year’s Comic Relief day, but more importantly continued their tradition for raising money for good causes.

Staff and students took part in a special “funny-face” themed dress-down day with donations going to Comic Relief. There were a number of great interpretations including a scuba diver, Disney characters and many brightly coloured faces, hair styles and outfits.

There was even a special visit from future World Cup winner Harry Kane!

Red noses were available for sale around the school which were popular with students and staff. Out of the 300 allocated to the school, all were sold by the end of the day.

Business Manager Paul Taylor said, “Overall it was a fun day and good to see everyone joining in and having fun while making a lot of money for such a great cause”

The Active Learning Centre alone raised over £117 selling red noses and the school total was well over £800. Well done to everyone who took part, great effort!
