Liskeard School raised over £784.26 for this year’s Children in Need appeal and had a lot of fun along the way! Mrs Price organised the day in typically brilliant style. Students and staff were encouraged to attend school dressed as a super hero, paying a pound for the charity. Costumes ranged from Superman and Batman to morph suits and even student Louie Sanders-Mortimer dressed to look like he was riding on an ostrich!

New head teacher Mr Lingard stated in an earlier morning briefing that as the theme was “heroes” he expected everyone to come dressed as him. Seven brave staff members duly obliged, donating extra money to charity as a result.

During morning break staff took part in a rendition of the YMCA, a tradition for the school during fundraising events. Students joined in and showed off their brilliant costumes. A raffle was also held for staff and students.

A huge well done to everyone involved for raising money for such a great cause!
