We are thrilled to announce that our 6th form students have been formally recognised for their excellent performance this year. Student performance at A Level has been rated as being in the top 25% in England! Particular recognition has to go to the Maths students and staff who achieved 58% A*/A putting us as one of the best providers in the country (ALPS grade 1). The success of these results combined with the outstanding advice and guidance provided by our experienced tutor team has enabled all but one of our students to gain their first choice university place.

The success at GCSE has also empowered over 100 students to return to Liskeard to join our flourishing sixth form. We previously reported our concern at some of our GCSE grades being lower than expected. We are pleased to announce that a number of these have been overturned following our request to get some exam papers remarked. We have also been informed of how well the students have performed in relation to the new progress measure that will be coming into effect nationally in 2016. This measure, known as Progress 8, scores how well the students performed in relation to their targets regardless of their ability. A score above zero means that they made greater progress than expected. Our Progress 8 score was 0.12!

Let’s take this opportunity to once again congratulate all our students on their wonderful achievements and wish all of those leaving us every success in the future.
