The Science Department had an overwhelming response to the Wildlife Photography Competition this year with some very interesting and creative entries.  The final decision was very difficult to make.  Many congratulations to the winner and to the runners up Jess Canfield and Elliot Clarke in Year 10.

Jess's photo of Phoca vitulina was chosen because of the perfect timing required to take such a beautiful and intimate photo; Elliot's photo of Pongo borneo was chosen for the lovely composition and the fragile nature of the subject.  The overall winner was Yannis Lawrence in Year 7 for his stunning photo of Bombis terrestris which demonstrated skill with the lens to give a warm portrait of one of our most important invertebrates.
