Liskeard School recently took part in fundraising activities for the charity Sport Relief. In total the school raised £639.97 to help change lives both in the UK and abroad.

Staff and pupils donated £1 to wear their teams’ colours or something sporty for the day. There was an array of football and rugby kits on show. Some of the more elaborate outfits saw students dressed in full cricket pads and head bands.

During tutor period the whole school, Sixth Form and staff took part in the Sport Relief Mile. The route took everyone around the school grounds and really captured the spirit of the day. Many walked the route, the more adventurous were running. There were students playing football and basketball on the way around, some had their feet tied together and there was even a student running on extended blades!

There was a real buzz around the school but most importantly a lot of money was raised for some great causes.

Congratulations also to Carole Chapple, Sally Cox, Amanda Gaynor and Alison Gilbert who took part in the Sport Relief Mile in Saltash raising over £350! Well done to all involved.
