SPECIALIST SUPPORT PRACTITIONER (AUTISM)

(Teaching Assistant position in the ARC)

To start: September 2016

25 hours per week (Monday-Friday) term time only

Fixed term contract for one year

Based on £7.85 per hour (approx. £8,486.62 pa)

If you are patient, have good communication skills and can work as part of a team, we would like to hear from you. The successful applicant will work in the Autistic Spectrum Area Resource Centre (ARC), which supports the inclusion of students with Autism or related conditions into Liskeard School. Experience in Autism is desirable though not essential.

EARLY YEARS’ PRACTITIONER POSTS

2 part-time posts of 24 hours per week (flexible times), to cover maternity.

Term time only. There may be an opportunity to work additional hours

GRADE E (£15,144-£16,572 pa pro rata)

(Actual salary: £8,125.28 pa)

Liskeard School Nursery provides high quality childcare to children aged 3 months to 5 years of age. The Nursery is looking for two enthusiastic, part-time practitioners term time only to cover maternity leave. Candidates must have Early Years’ Foundation Stage knowledge and experience of working in a childcare setting.

ARTS TECHNICIAN

We are seeking to appoint a full time senior Arts Technician to support work in the Creative and Performing Arts Faculty. Due to the broad range of work undertaken within the Arts, the job specification is very wide ranging. We are therefore seeking to appoint a person with a genuine interest in work within all of the Arts and a desire to develop new knowledge, skills and understanding. The Arts faculty is very supportive and has proven to be highly effective in training in-house to develop the technician’s role. External training will be available for the development of specific skills where this is not possible in-house. Experience of working with digital media, sound and lighting would be highly valued. The Arts faculty is a vibrant and energetic area of the school curriculum with a great deal of exciting and interesting projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will take over from a technician who is a highly successful and enormously valued member of staff.

With the Head of Maths and Senior Leadership Team, you will improve the learning and outcomes in Maths across key stages 3 and 4 and develop numeracy across the curriculum. Your role will involve coaching and supporting the development of teaching across the faculty and whole school.
